I've always seen EVN as a long-term investment – in any case purchased sub $1 and free carried.
I'm fine with the chart below and not OUCH for me. Mid 2019 EVN was $4, that's where the holding pattern reference is coming from (few years).
At some stage the 50% swing you are referring to will be history. I'm not a day or even weekly trader.
Good for you if you are selling/buying the tops/bottoms.
