Funnily enough I spoke to The Perth Mint today.
An order I place 15 days ago is getting delivered tomorrow and if I placed the same order today it would be 2/3 months for delivery apparently. This was for cast bullion.
No 2020 gold bullion coins available, no minted bars available and only cast bars being taken as pre-orders.
I probed with a fFew soft questions and yes they are very busy, all finished products being produced are basically back filling prior orders.
Lots of buying demand is coming from Europe and particularly Germany was mentioned.
I specifically asked if the shortage was due to supply or demand, they said it was completely on the demand side.
Anyway, no data but just a few soft qualitative points on what appears to be a shortage of physical bullion.
