No that depends on the cost structure of different mines. High cost mines will benefit more from the gold price than a production increase.
To illustrate with an extreme example if a mine is at break increasing production does not help, but it becomes profitable if the gold price rises.
More generally if the gold price rises, higher cost mines benefit more than low cost mines in terms of the percentage rise in profits (and suffer more if the gold price falls).
