Gold hit a minor daily 618 level @1789 and then retested the daily ascending trendline from early June @1760 - reasonable support to close at 1770, a key monthly close and open level in 2012.
June monthly close was the highest since Aug 2011 and a good sign of the longer term trend, but theres a fine balance in the short term and in particular given the monthly RSI is in over bought territory, but still hasn't broken its ascending channel and obviously can't be used in isolation of price action, regardless.
