Good to be disciplined, hard to imagine no drama leading up to election and before results are announced. Whose to say there's no volatility even after election results are announced with concerns of transferal of power and potential social unrest. Anyhow, I think it's always good to save up cash for a big correction/surprises no matter what your portfolio looks like. Yes cash loses purchasing power over time and is horrible as an asset class but it allows you to take advantage of volatility. Warren Buffet is sitting on a 100 billion cash stack... and he's a God with an insane track record. Mere mortals like us don't really have any justification for going 100% into equities. I'm with you, i'm only going to add to my position if we hit the 200 EMA. Below is a graph of GDXJ, i've drawn out a massive bull flag and we're not that far off hitting the 200 EMA on the GDXJ. I think we could very realistically hit 5.3 for EVN if we see further downside on GDXJ.
