When I was a teenager my Dad made me ask Rene Rivkin for a holiday job. I got a nice reply from his PA and they put me to work as a courier in the Rivkin James Capel mail room, walking all over the Sydney CBD with a satchel of cheques and trading documents (the stock market was all chalkies, paper and phones back then). After that young start in the stockbroking industry.... I grew up to work in magazines for Kerry Packer
I left more than "a little for someone else" buying EVN at nearly $1 above the March low. Doesn't look so bad now.
