I own a lot of goldies and for a very long time now. SBM got cut from the portfolio when they stupidly acquired Atlantic for far more than it was worth. Even worse was how the placement was structured. Made a few trades since then but she is still far from making it in the portfolio.
RRL still in the portfolio but only free carry. I still believe in McPhils but man they are close to getting cut thanks to the newest acquisition.
WAF... Seriously Africa? I do respect Alan Roberts and Neil Swan (they bankrolled WAF through Taurus Inveatments) but no, WAF is not for me. Those two blokes are legends in the gold mining community. They are Lihir Gold and yes I made a lot of money on that company years ago...thank you NCM for buying that for $27billion. The next company they put up Golden China Resources I made a lot too... which surprise surprise was taken over by Jake Klein's Sino gold. Although Sino gold no longer exist thanks to El Dorado acquiring it... Fast forward today JK founded EVN.
