Having owned EVN since 2015, this is very familiar. The AUD gold price can climb and climb, but price action in EVN will reflect action in the USD gold price for no good reason. I suspect it's because overseas trading in ASX stocks is influenced by what happens overseas (see the US GDX, which is down seemingly because the USD gold price failed to sustain its gains again and ended flat). The only reassurance I can give is that as long as EVN's fundamentals remain strong, the share price situation tends to repair itself eventually because nobody can deny the stonking set of results that eventuates. All you have to do is put up with months of this kind of nonsensical movement
