EVN has some debt, so hedging is a good move to secure the balance sheet. Also for 5 year a bit over 800koz hedging is only around 20% of EVN production. I think it's a good move. In fact, even NST has a bit of hedging, though I did not see them announce it (but did mention their policy of under 25% principle in a presentation).
look at SBM share price now approaching $2, I believe EVN SP will have a decent rise soon.
