My understanding is that there is a big difference between the products on a number of fronts. The Evolis products are based on botanicals, they only affect FGF-5, the growth protein that plays an exclusive role in the life of the hair follicle, hence there are no side-effects.
Regaine/Rogaine takes time to work, hair can fallout upfront before it kicks in and it is a beta-blocker meaning it affects your bloodstream. It has warnings that it should not be used by people under 18 or if you are pregnant, I think there is also a warning re heart-conditions.

I like the fact that it is only one of 2 TGA approved products that can make the hair loss claim and I believe that this has the potential to change the financial dynamics for Cellmid as it should make a positive contribution straight to the bottom line, predominantly because they are distributing wholesale to chemists in the first instance, a low overhead business.

I also saw that they have advertised for a business development manager on Seek (they didn't mention the company but there were 2 give away clues, the contact name and phone number!)so they are obviously up to things.
