    * evil exists in the animal kingdom. for example, animals devour other animals without mercy. this is what evil is; a lack of consideration for others that harms others. however due to its limited scope in the animal kingdom it appears not to be evil but merely instinctual survival. but it is evil. a lion eating the offspring of deer loved by those deer does not negate the lack of moral conscience that defines 'evil'

    * man is the only creature capable of carrying out acts of excessive violence against other people or animals because the mind of man has 'self'. 'self' is born from 'pleasure'. 'self' is an all pervasive thought that dominates the brain but is very fragile and is subject to 'death'. 'death' is not something physical but mental. for example, when man becomes addicted to a pleasure, it is 'death' to stop obtaining that pleasure. or when man commits an act of violence, it is 'death' to experience the trauma (PTSD) of that violence act, so man justifies or continues that violent act

    * or short, man suffers from complex addiction to various pleasures, where the result of not continuing to obtain those pleasures is 'death' of ego

    * in short, evil people are not actually 'human' but are 'animals' because like animals they lack conscience

    * the word 'human' in various languages means 'high minded'.

    human (adj.)

mid-15c., humain, humaigne, "human," from Old French humain, umain (adj.) "of or belonging to man" (12c.), from Latin humanus "of man, human," also "humane, philanthropic, kind, gentle, polite; learned, refined, civilized." This is in part from PIE *(dh)ghomon-, literally "earthling, earthly being," as opposed to the gods (from root *dhghem- "earth"), but there is no settled explanation of the sound changes involved. Compare Hebrew adam "man," from adamah "ground." Cognate with Old Lithuanian žmuo (accusative žmuni) "man, male person."
