    I listened to the first 7 minutes.

    "God does not exist because science tells us so". Of course science does not claim this but neither does it confirm the existence of God. Faith is not the province of science simply because science relies on evidence.

    Four major (great) areas of science are listed:
    Newtonian mechanics
    Maxwell's theories
    Quantum mechanics
    Einstein's theories


    Of course these don't address issues of faith - that is not their intention.

    There are other great ground braking theories that he did not mention which have shaped our understanding of existence. For example

    The theory of evolution
    The laws of thermodynamics

    A theory is the more impressive the greater the simplicity of its premises is, the more different kinds of things it relates, and the more extended is its area of applicability.
