We need to start with the Bible on all matters. You see 6,000 years ago God created everything. About 4,400 years ago there was a world-wide flood. 2,000 years ago was the life of Jesus Christ, and here we are today about 2,000 years later.
So obviously, using the Bible as our starting point, these footprints are less than 6,000 years old."

You cannot believe everything scientists say is true

True. Not even scientists say everything that scientists say is true - that is the reason for their peer review process.

I'm not familiar with your particular example, and hence can't comment on it's accuracy or otherwise, but do know that there are many approaches to checking age of rocks and fossils. How do we know the ages of fossils and fossil-bearing rocks?

There is no evidence to support the notion that everything was created 6,000 years ago. For a start the universe could not have obtained its present size in such a short period. Human history could not have been squeezed into such a short period. Geological features could not have formed in such a short period of time. The time needed for radioactive materials to decay to the extent that they have need a lot more time...and so on.

There is also no evidence of a worldwide flood. There are many outstanding questions that need to be asked. Where did all the water come from (it would have required more than twice as much water that there is currently in the oceans for such a huge flood), and more importantly where did all that water go, and so quickly? Besides the obvious problems of getting all those animals from across the globe (they didn't know about the Americas or Australia), onto a single boat how did they return them to their places of origin. Remember that only a few people were supposed to have survived the flood.

On not believing everything that scientists say to be true.

How about not believing what anybody says as being true without checking it out first?
