As for 14 billion years - The Hindu's have a belief that after an unimaginable length of time - countless billions of years - there is a number but it escapes me. The universe returns to a singularity and the process is repeated.
How many times might such a process have occurred? Are we one of a cluster of universes? I believe numbers are not so useful to use when trying to understand the Governing Essence.
God did create all things to their kind, but in the beginning their kind was of a potential nature, though still fixed in their final outcome. The progression of state being of little significance to a timeless God.

I have read Plato and Aristotle and a little Heraclitus, but by the sound of it I need to go back and read again.
It's a big subject. I believe this is a womb-world, a prep-school. The real learning begins on the other side.
