I fully agree a generalization in broad strokes but still a good basis to work around

Trying to find staff that can even spell "c a t" is difficult these days. not to mention the basics of how mathematics systems work

Without the basics of the tools that are needed in the real world many people growing up are at a disadvantage
Having a complicated calculator that will do it all for you still leaves a lot of why is it so questions a big mystery

The current system is responsible for the dumbed down society which is regressive IMHO
