    taughtbuffet, I believe you're on the money. If God were to have one definitive name, which without doubt is not possible, it would be the same in all languages. All language groups would, out of respect use the one and only correct name.

    God did not say that the Jewish people call me this, English speaking call me that. In Australia call me Bill.

    Gods names are titles and attributes such as:- Almighty, All-Powerful, All-Wise, Incomparable, Gracious, Helper, All-Glorious, Omniscient, King of kings etc.

    When God is addressed in local language we have Ishwar in Hindi, Dieu in French, Dios in Spanish, Bahá in Arabic, etc. These names are in fact titles and so can respectfully be spoken in the manner of their mother tongue.

    God is known only by titles and attributes. Only objects within the dimension of Creation have a names.

    Imagine the journey the JW would have to take if their leaders saw a light shining upon this understanding.
