LOL the shape of the martini glass closely resembles that of a mature amanita muscaria mushroom.

The ancient Greek word for (soda) glass, ammonitron, is compounded of ammon = sand and nitron = potash. Ammonitron plays upon the ancient Greek mushroom word amanitas.

The shape of the martini glass also closely resembles that of the Mukenaian Greek kulikes, which were mass-produced by the thousands in the latter half of second millennium BCE and shippd all round the Mediterranean.

To round off the wordplay, Mukenai (Mycenae) was named after the Greek mushroom word mukes (hence our mycology).
