Many on this board have said that Chines EV manufactures are going great and producing more EVs and PHEVs than ever before This is true Q1 YOY BVD was up 13% While revenue was down 34%. Discounting of all types of EVs is extreme in China. BVD Q1 Revenue was down 47% from the previous Q4. A week or two ago we read how the brand New BVD roll on roll off EV freighter could not dock in several major EU ports because there was no place to put the EVs. They had to lease land away from the harbor and truck the cars there for storage before they could dock and unload more EVs. Yes production is up but how long can a manufacture continue to make cars just to sit in storage areas while further discounts are applied to them. JMO not very long but we will have to wait and see.
Yes the China economy is improving a little in a few sectors. The EV market is not an improving sector in China or anywhere else in the world.
