We sold all our power stations nationwide 30 odd years ago onwards who had no intention of ensuring upgrading and investing into future capacity increases. Rather. They did minimal maintenance on what they owned until they were buggered. Climate change noise didnt have to worry about lobbying to close them down. They were stuffed already and with rising costs they would have shut them down anyhow. These poor power stations when they went private never got the maintenance and care we gave them when they were govt owned. And we never had even 5pc of the outages. I dont know how the US regulate the energy industry there but the horse has bolted here long ago. Between AUKUS and this clown Bowen - where are we getting the money from. Countries using renewable power Im reading have 5 times bigger power bills. Anybody in US following Australian news. We cant afford it. This is a micro (local) reason why I think our shares will flatline for a while. Just hope Myanmar works in our favor but there is oversupply AT PRESENT without Myanmar supplying raw materials. Buggered if I fully know but my gut feeling at my age isnt liking whats playing out with renewable progress and climate summit targets being met.
