All those reports of excessive depreciation of EVs' must be the mother of all hoaxes, then:
"Your claims about insurance have been proven false by other owners in this thread."
Sorry, son; a sample of one (and with a declared vested interest at that), is not worth much more than a bucket of warm spit (not my words, the word's of my Statistics lecturer). Just like a ...uh... hypothetical EV owner driving several standard deviations further than any sort of average.
The outcome of a survey of an inordinately more representative sample (1000 respondents) says something rather different in the insurance costs of EVs vs conventional cars:
