I have Little reason to buy an EV. The battery, charging times, resale values, insurance costs, and repairs are expensive. My stepson hired one and decided not to buy one. I cant get excited about the experience myself. The govts energy policies are forcing costs on users after the event. The price of power is only going up and in some cases, it's cheaper to use fuel. Some people love having the latest gadget. The wishful thinkers are thinking they are saving the planet. This isn't the case on the numbers. As the tech improves, then people can take another look. The people who bought the early ones are going to eat major losses. The car manufacturers will discount models to move them as the economy slows down. A mate owned one and sold it and bought a supercar instead. He just said it lacked any excitement. They are also not considered premium 'prestige'. Each to their own.
