Fires in EV's have been downplayed but if lithium batteries are so safe why is it that even in aviation it is or has been such a problem. That aside reality bites:
There may be causes apart from the batteries themselves but nevertheless there are problems. Given there are more of these vehicles as time goes by, unless the issues are fixed there will be more insurance issues due to 'adverse events' as well as possibly lives at stake - and not just those of the owners but even fire fighters.
There are plenty of signs around stating towns being RV friendly - yet to see one that is EV friendly.
