Yes, and regardless of obesity, people still buy unhealthy food and sugary drinks.
And regardless of need, people still horde and many live in massive homes they literally need to hire cleaners for.
And regardless of already burgeoning debt levels, people still go and buy the latest gadgets or pairs of shoes or a fancy dress or borrow for a holiday.
And regardless of side effects (known and unknown), people still take medicines - sometimes the benefits of which are anything but.
And regardless of all advertising, there are still people with brains knowing that advertisers are there promoting anything to make a buck.
As for ICE problems they have provided you and others with transport needs reliably for generations and has also been pushed on the masses through advertising for decades and they have been and are still being built and sold with great uptake across China, EU, UK and US.....
One big difference between the two is the 'green' government involvement in making the ICE a 'baddie' and the EV a 'hero' - but the hero one day down the track is sure to become a villain the same way that ICE has become a baddie. By then, they will have managed to successfully suck billions/trillions out of either unsuspecting or unaware customers or from customers that are happy to go along irrespective.
There are already people that regret having bought an EV - according to some reports 1 in 5 go back to an ICE vehicle after spending thousands on driving an EV. Happy to inform you that I neither wish to drive let alone own an EV anytime soon. As with everything, each to their own.
