"PLus renewables by their very nature hHAVE to be constantly renewed, putting more burden on the planets resources as you 'try' to not only increase production, but replace obsolete & broken units."

No shit Sherlock, just like coal and gas power plants have a limited life. Many a coal fired power plant have come to the ends of their life, it has been deemed unviable to extent their life or replace them

End of the day the market/industry dictate how we move forward

Electricity producers don't see new coal power plants as viable and have no plans to build them, like wise Nuclear.

Matters not what mine or your opinion is, electricity producers do their feasibility studies and decide what technology they will use and invest in. At this point in time they see renewable energy as the cheapest alterative and that is were they are sending their money.

We operate in a free market and if Nuclear was an attractive viable alternative companies would invest Nuclear but seem no one wants to do that.

I find it amusing that we have you CC deniers banging on and dismissing renewables because the market is taking us down the road of renewables whether you like it of not and regardless if CC is real or not.

So you can carry on getting your knickers in a knot or just accept what is happening
