The proposal is basically to introduce a universal road toll on EVs which, if it catches on, could leadto all vehicles; the ultimate user pays..eh?
The current system assumes that those who clock up more miles use more fuel thereby paying more fuel excise & GST. GST registered entities can, however, have the GST refunded. eg company vehicles.
