You don't understand foreign relations dynamics. Chinese bans on our agriculture is really just a side product of their need to buy $200m in agricultural products from the US to meet their superficial obligations under the trade deal. They are furious at Australia for calling out their mercantilism and virus responsibility so the chance to twist the knife on our agricultural exports is just a bonus.
