There has been a lot of commentary about ewc's terrible financial results. The main thing I took out of the report was that the Directors were very disappointed the industrial was classified as forest land. They also relieved that after 4 years (I thought it would take about 10 years) it had been resolved and that the authorities had extended the permit for the gas reserves by 20 years. The company has been making profits every year for many years, and it is unusual that the company trades at a multiple of 1 of gross profit to market cap. The company is definitely unloved.
I have been following ewc for over 20 years, since the name change from Energy Equity. The short sellers are in control with over $18 million short, they have increased their short positions since the remapping announcement.
The next major milestone is the announcement of project financing. This will take some time as they will have to reprice costs of equipment to come from Germany and the US and labor costs.
