The short seller has covered their position according to the ASIC site. They covered their position on 23/11/21. I waited for 2 days data to be certain, today's data for 24/11/21 is also zero. There was a large trade on 23/11/21 of 17+ million shares.
The market action in the trading of ewc shares over the last week has been fairly steady. I have been monitoring the short position since March when I noticed that the short seller had killed the recent rally. The short seller has killed at least one rally since then. The most galling episode was just after the confirmation of the successful rights issue. I placed sizable orders in the market at about 10% below the market and the short seller increased their short position by millions of shares when they hit me at 8.9 cents. I considered the action at the time arrogant.
Let's hope they stay out.
