I would have expected (hoped) the price to "pop" a bit more on the covering. This is especially so as much of the expected natural demand for the shares was to have come from short covering.

Where was the volume necessary to cover shorts of 16m? I can see some vol in the last 10 days but not enough to cover 16m. Is there another way to lay off these short exposures?

I sometimes struggle to reconcile the reporting to volumes traded on the ground, so it anyone does know how to reconcile reported volume to the short position reports, I would love a bit of insight. I wonder if there is off market trades either within the prime broker accounts supporting swaps, or even between prime brokers.
