EWC have the same technology to that announced by Arrow Energy yesterday.

It confirms EWC's technology is at the forefront of quality low cost LNG Tank technology.

EWC currently hold a licence from GTT (Gaztransport and TechnigaZ) to use its LNG tank technology for land based membrane tanks.


Arrow Energy Announcement – regulatory authority acceptance of membrane tank technology for Fisherman’s Landing LNG

LNG Limited reported today that the Queensland approving authorities have accepted the use of membrane containment tank technology for the Fisherman’s Landing LNG project.

LNG Limited believes the use of a membrane tank versus a conventional nickel steel tank will save $A100 million and possibly 6 months construction time

Tank construction is typically the critical path item for LNG plant construction.

LNG Limited plans to build a 200,000 m3 membrane tank. This tank will have sufficient capacity to support two or perhaps three 1.5 Mtpa trains.

LNG Limited expects to commence early site works for tank foundation in October 2009.

This approval is a further step towards completing the investment decision for the Fisherman’s Landing LNG project in 1QCY10.

The Fisherman’s Landing LNG project will provide AOE with a further high margin channel to market for commercialization of its CSG reserves.
