Degrees in business, science and health economics and extensive experience in the pharmaceutical, radiopharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical device industries, having held commercial executive level positions both sectors within Australia and internationally.

Founder of the MTL Medical Technology Network and the North American Medtech Incubator Fundamedtech, focused solely on supporting researchers and innovative medical technology start-ups to navigate the complex regulatory, market access and international trade environment, in an effort to accelerate commercialization of locally developed novel medical technologies globally. Through this organization Tanara has supported over 15 researchers and start-ups, working with innovative research groups at the forefront of novel medical technology development.

Active in the field of diagnostic and therapeutic technology development in North America and most recently held the position of Chair of the Health Policy, Regulatory and Reimbursement committee for the North American Industry organization CORAR in addition to holding a key leadership role leading government relations for the Medical Imaging Technology Alliance (MITA) Health Policy and Coverage Committee.
