Not bad considering the next part of your post states you are looking to get in post the dividend fall for a long term entry.. why would you not grab the dividend now and wait for the price to recover, after all your say you want to enter for the long term? You must like the stock to consider holding for the long term?
What if the price rallies next week before the dividend, a likely scenario, and ex div the SP returns to levels similar to where we are now?
What if the price doesnt drop as much as the divvy? Has happened before.
