Thermo... The CGT is less if you hold for over 12 months...
As I see it befor 12 months you pay tax at your taxable rate as it is added to your income for the year.
After 12 months CGT is calculated .. then halved... and then it is this portion left that is added to your income for the year and taxed at your taxable rate..
