I'm afraid it's not that simple! Jimmy is right. The compny phoned me back and said they had been in touch with C/share and people who buy to-day will be entitled to the new issue. He thought this was good news to me as he assumed i was a buyer. When I told him i sold some he didn't comment further! I said i would be applying for some of the suplus shares and would expect favourable treatment! So it looks like they stuffed it up.
