I know it would be highly unusual, but if the PNG government (and native land-owners involved) are also very frustrated with RMI's performance and lack of results over the last 12 months, might they decide to not approve the lease renewal?

Other bigger players with a need, funding and resources already available would be a very tempting alternative at this point, surely? I suspect that by just coming up with any old FS and fairly vague plan might not be good enough this time around? It was a bit touch and go last time they applied from memory!
