I guess it depends on what the company does over;
1) The next few months?
2) The next two years?
I do not have enough shares here to bother with the raise and, in the current global climate, will take my chances on the price going back under 90c to buy a few more based on the fact that there are plenty out there who participate in all raises on a ‘cash cow’ basis.
But - theoretically - if I wanted to milk the raise and started with 12,000 shares (really it would be a multiple that made it worthwhile) , I would sell ‘the new’ 1,000 shares as soon as the next good news came in for at least a dollar - a fast 10% profit or more less tax.
I gather I am then left with 500 options that will cost me $1.20 if I want to convert them.
Obviously for this to be a total cash cow success I don’t want to leave the 500 shares sitting under a rock for two years;
I have paid those promisers at SMN good money for what is effectively a $9.2m shot in the arm
— To get them paid out for their loans (to the tune of $1.3m) (!! ??? )
— To pay for the costs of the offer ($80 grand?)
— To pay AEM debt and for new equipment it needs ($3.5m)
— And to follow through on commercialising the CVM tech it has launched this deal on to the tune of $3.9m.
— With $420,000 for general working capital.
And I am going to be watching the company and tapping my finger. I am not a benevolent daddy. I have other places to invest and I want to see the price over $1.20 in the next six months or I am going to think those options were just fairy dust.
SMN is taking it’s own directors off the hook by taking my money, its’ also refreshing AEM, giving itself $420,000 of working capital (how long will that last?)
……and it finally has a green light from the FAA with enough additional funding to exploit the opportunity.
Plus the hot shot new executive director with all the right connections!
If it cannot get the price well over $1.20 on the basis of all this in the next few quarters, then what the hell is going on?
cheers
