Well this is where it may be heading, if not already. There are more than 1 interested party involved in these discussions (look at Karoon's announcements on the suspension).
If they want something enough and need to remove the competitor/competitors then they might decide to go the lot!
I think that at the beginning it was to be a quick card game, now a drawn out game of poker with very experenced players.
