Do not underestimate the "pull" that energy security(shale gas) will have on US policy-making.
The idea of not having to deal with the Middle East for energy supplies used to be just a dream. Now it can become a reality. Imagine the feeling in Washington if the exploitation of shale reserves achieves this.
