Great Announcement!
Just doing a little research and only last month
NLC chief executive officer Kim Hill had this to say:

"We want to develop markets within our communities," he said.

"Some commentators or political commentators want to say that we are land rich and dirt poor," he said.

"I dispute that.

"We are infrastructure poor rather than being dirt poor.

"We want to become developers but also we want to do it in a sensible way, so that we can maintain the oldest living culture."

Mr Hill says traditional owners would like to see home ownership form part of the lease arrangements.

"We believe that it can be done," he said.

"It does not have to be that an individual has to own a piece of land.

"We believe that our kinship system and our cultural system requires everyone to benefit from these agreements, and family comes first."

Well Mr Hill hopefully NTM can assist you and the TO's in exploring and developing their land in a mutually acceptable manner.

Now if only the ALC had such vision and weren't blinkered by GEMCO, well lets hope this will reopen some doors.
