High Grades continue south of Mineral Hill

RC drilling at the southern end of the Mineral Hill deposit and beyond the previously generated conceptual pit design have returned significant high grade intersections from surface.
These and other assay highlights from recent results are summarised below, with full details contained in the table attached.

    Hole MHRC002 17m @ 10.84 g/t Au from surface
    (including 6 m @ 26.59 g/t Au from 6m)
(120 m south of conceptual pit design)

    Hole MHRC019 14m @ 7.75 g/t Au from 31m
    (including 3 m @ 28.23 g/t Au from 37m)

    Hole MHRC016
    18m @ 1.75 g/t Au from 40m

    Hole MHRC017
    17m @ 1.42 g/t Au from 59m

These results cover a portion of the zone south of the previous conceptual pit design (generated in 1998) from 4350mN through to 4575mN (see Figure 1), and indicate excellent thicknesses and continuity of the mineralised quartz breccia host.

The result from hole MHRC002 (17m @ 10.84 g/t Au from surface, including 6 m @ 26.59 g/t Au from 6m) confirms a high grade zone identified in earlier exploration in a high grading costean at surface returning 14m @ 21.7 g/t Au.
Diamond drilling undertaken on the same section by Burdekin in 2004 returned values of 5m @ 2.6 g/t Au and 13m @ 2.0 g/t Au at depth (see Figure 2). This result is some 120m south of the previous conceptual pit design. Refer to the 2004 Annual report pages 8 to
10 for significant intersections previously reported from the deeper portions of this southern extension.

The result from hole MHRC017 (17m @ 1.42 g/t Au from 59m) confirms depth continuity below the recently reported result of 11m @ 9.01 g/t from MHRC018 (refer Figure 2 in ASX Announcement of 7 April 2005), and further below the previously modelled base of the pit design in this area.
The result from MHRC019 (14m @ 7.75 g/t Au from 31m, including 3 m @ 28.23 g/t Au from 37m) on section 4575mN confirms strike continuity of the high grades most recently reported in the vicinity. All results will be incorporated into the data base for the generation of the mineral resource estimate to be completed by independent consultants RSG Global, which is now underway.

    Yours faithfully
    Burdekin Pacific Limited
    Jerome G Vitale
    Director and Chief Executive
