Triage, I'm no petro engineer but as I understand it wirelogs can be run at the end or during the process. Drilling mud will return oil/gas to the surface for analysis in any case.
It really comes down to the JV as to what they want to do. Variations may occur where actual drilling differs from the pre drill plan, ie depth of zones, geology, pressure etc.
Wirelogging at the end is thought to be more accurate than as you go methods though like everything this is being improved. Logging individual zones is time consuming and more costly than once at the end..
