    Yes, agree, people are constantly getting confused about prices quoted as CIF or FOB. For those not understanding, CIF includes the expense paid by a seller to cover the costs, insurance, and freight of a buyer's order while it is in transit. FOB is simply "Free on board", that is the price as it applies to getting the freight upto loading the ship before it leaves port. FOB will therefore always be less than CIF. The Mn weekly price on the JMS website is FOB. It is indicative as others have stated, because contractural terms may differ a bit from market published prices ( the website price). I think there is a lag, in that current market prices lag behind contractural prices set a few months in advance. But at the end of the day the published market price gives the indication of the price trend that will apply in the shorter term. Basically the averaged Mn price is in decline these past several months.
