I don't think many people realise how challenging this is. It's not simply like digging up the dirt in an open cut and then crushing it.
Anyway, I'm not too fazed about CTO's progress. Production WILL get ramped up over time.
What is a big positive of course is that with gold around AUD1000 the gold being produced has a cash cost many hundreds of dollars below that.
Personally I'll be satisfied if 12,500 ounces are produced in the December quarter, though I believe CTO is looking to produce close to that rate by the end of June.
