DoctorFouad, the parallels with Orocobre are weak and distant. In Syrah's case, where are the "extreme delays in commissioning"? As far as I can see, they are running a few weeks behind schedule, which is a rather astonishing performance for a company building the world's largest graphite mine, in an impoverished African country.

("Unrealistic scale of production"? Is that code for: "Much bigger than the company in which I hold shares"?)

Syrah management does appear very confident that they will be able to deliver the contracted 140-160K tonnes of graphite by end-August, next year. Until we get the production figures for the first three months or so, it's hard to see how any of us are in a position to state, categorically, whether such goals are "unrealistic", or that the company will need to be "incredibly lucky".

The evidence to date, of a development run largely on-schedule and on-budget, suggest that they are probably right. The next proof (or otherwise!) will come quite soon, as first production has been promised by the end of this month - so we'll have some sort of answer in three weeks or so. Until then, we can only say: You may be right!

    Cheers,
