We have all loved and lost, but isn't that better than never having loved at all?
I agree that excel has been irritating, like a yapping little dog, but I think rather than a rebuff, an embrace, rather than a harsh word, an endearment, rather than villification, a fortification.
Let us show excel the way rather than falling into his cesspool.
