"What a perfect opportunity for someone like AGL, to sell a heap more gas plus reduce the cost of supplying electricity (as it does both these days), especially if it were to own the unit and lease it for the customer."
For me that is the part about big orders from utilities that I don't get.
As a customer I am supposed to allow a utility either power or gas company install something in my home that allows them to continue to sell me and my neighbour power.
When I could buy the thing my self and sell power to the power company.
I don't think so.
Or the lease agreement would have to weighted heavily in my favour.
Because the majority of consumers would be weighing up lease as compared to own.
