When investments go south people get ticked off, angry, disappointed, look for explanations and reasons, even see things that are not there (myths), and many do look for scapegoats as is seen right across SM. It is human nature to assign blame to others. "Is this why the CGB management are blaming Covid, China relations, Drought and anything else they can think of, to shift the blame for their poor decisions and/or lack of ability?
Every time they fail to achieve a goal, they simply move the goalposts.
Bauxite - Fail. Blame chinese relations and pivot to Hemp
Hemp - Fail. Blame the weather and pivot to Medical research.
Medical Research - crickets so far. Pivot to Skincare!
Sure there is plenty of potential here, and this was the reason i invested in the company initially. But after many failed promises, can you imagine why shareholders feel frustrated and view any new announcements with cynicism? No need to blame the insiders who got their shares far below the market value, for dumping them as fast as they can. The fault lies with the inability of management to manifest their potential into profit. (not revenue that doesn't cover the cost of production, not fancy announcements about triploids, but actual tangible PROFIT)
being at the spec end of the market, i understand and expect that profit generally does take some time to achieve, but generally companies don't pivot their direction every 6months whilst attempting it.
still hopeful that Canntab is the saviour, if it every makes it here, but ill remain skeptical until i see some results.
And ill continue taking a spoonful of salt with your posts Neil, as they do seem to have become very fanboyish lately (a vast change from your posts >12months ago) and to think i used to view Basileus' posts as being needlessly argumentative and repetitive ad nauseum, but your incessant need to defend against every single slight is really becoming tiresome. I don't think hotcopper forums are really going to influence the share price (can it get lower anyway?
