Have already been burnt to a cinder by this mob,

The mob that did the burning are still about, so I will wait and watch for the moment, I don't trust them as far as I can kick them.

I will sit back and smoke my pipe for a while longer and see happens.

I have a funny feeling there will be an issue with finance, and there will be a white knight ride in on a dragon with some very unsavoury conditions attached to him and make out hes saving the day.
