I did quiet well on TPM over the last couple of years, likewise with MNF and TLS. With all that being said, my feeling is that the consolidation of these big players may be the beginning of a margin tightening in the industry.
I interpret the swallowing up of many of the smaller players (prior to the IIN and TPM merger) as a sign that things are getting tougher. The mergers are showing that they need scale to compete, many industry and company reps have said the same.
With the NBN coming on board and smaller players exiting the market, companies are going to have to fight for market share. If they cant provide a better product - with the NBN being a common product amongst providers - they may be forced to compete on price.
It will indeed be interesting times.
