and to the guy who started this post. that is hilarious

A) 150km from work means over 1,000km a week extra travel on todays petrol and future prices its going to cost you what you save

B) most people have a wife and kids, and cant sleep on the floor in the kitchen!

I'd rather wait a couple more years and get a house and a massive discount from todays prices.. when interest rates kill peoples borrowing power and force prices down by people not able to borrow these amounts of money to buy with, let alone to continue paying.

this is why rents are going up, because hous selling is on the climb.. just like shares.. more selling = lower prices
